Update to Use of @ Symbol for Fiserv Batch Maintenance – New Card Add Requests

***This alert applies to online credit unions with ATM/Debit or Credit Cards with Fiserv.***

CU*SOUTH received a batch maintenance mandate from Fiserv, notifying us of the use of the "@" symbol in batch maintenance – specifically, that the "@" symbol will no longer be accepted in an "Add" request for a new card.

This mandate is effective on March 16, 2025, but beginning on January 12, 2025, a warning message will be sent on the vendor side if any “@” signs are included for card add records in the nightly batch maintenance file.

We are actively researching the details on what may need to be changed with the batch maintenance program to comply with the vendor’s mandate, and we will communicate additional details as we learn more.

**UPDATE 2/17/2025 2:30 PM CT** We are aware of new ATM card orders which are being rejected by Fiserv, due to a value needed for Card Activation Type. We have created a project to address this (Project #65781) and will provide additional details when this has been implemented.
