Risk Assessment Center
The Risk Assessment Center website is designed to assist credit unions in completing their Internet Banking risk assessment as required by the 'Guidance on Authentication in Internet Banking Environment' (NCUA letter 05-CU-18).
You’ll find technical information and business considerations related to It’s Me 247 Online Banking and other internet based services. This page also includes links to additional resources that can help you in your own risk assessment process.

Abnormal Activity Monitoring
In response to growing trends of both elder abuse and online banking fraud, the FFIEC and CFPB are now urging credit unions to keep a closer eye on abnormal and high risk activity among members. Tool # 537: Monitor Abnormal Transaction Activity was developed to assist in doing this.
This tool helps your staff do their due diligence when it comes to fraud and monitoring special situations by automatically sifting through member transactions to find those that are abnormal or high risk according to the parameters set by your credit union.

CUBASE Tools Frequently Used for Audit/Exam Questions
Tool # 122: AIRES - Create Files lets you create a monthly AIRES file. Tool # 124: AIRES - Print File List lets you print your created AIRES file. Tool # 1375: Data Transfers (Upload or Download) will allow you to download your AIRES file to an Excel spreadsheet.

Tool # 159: Audit CU File Maintenance (CUFMAINT) can be used to monitor file maintenance activity made by various programs throughout the CU*BASE system. Tool # 644: Print File Maintenance Report allows you to print an on-demand version of the data listed in Tool # 159.
Tool # 357: Employee Security Audit Report allows you to monitor employee access and activity within CU*BASE. There are three different report options to choose from using this tool:
- Employee Security Audit Report
- Assigned Tools Audit Report
- Employee Security Maintenance Report
Tool # 480: Loans w/ Interest Due Above Payment Amt lists accounts with interest due that is greater than the payment amount and not delinquent. It identifies loans with potentially inherent collections problems which are not always apparent to credit union management.
Tool # 487: Mbr Trial Balance Listing - Select Info can be used to generate a report for many different inquiries related to share and checking accounts. This tool can filter by many different fields including application type, balance, and dates, so that you can generate a report for your Audit or Exam.
Tool # 493: Member Account Adjustments Report will show mistakes made by the staff when applying cash by showing transactions that have been reversed in order to verify that the transaction was reapplied appropriately.
Tool # 592: Portfolio Analysis - Concentration Risk helps you monitor the policy limits you have in place, analyze the credit quality of the segment itself, and to review the membership, product, and collateral makeup of the loans found in the segment.
Tool # 649: Print GL History (daily) lets you print a listing of both sides (credits and debits) of all posted and unposted journal entries. You can set up the report to list specific entries by date, general ledger account, location, or J/E ID. Tool # 650: Print GL Trial Balance (monthly) allows you to print a list of activity for each G/L account in date order, with all branches included under each G/L account. Use this report to view all posted G/L activity by day.
Tool # 788: Selective Loan Information Report can be used to generate a report for many different inquiries related to loan accounts. This includes (but is not limited to) monitoring delinquent loans, viewing new loans, printing a listing of loan balances, and viewing booked or denied loans. This tool can filter by many different fields including: category, dates, balance, and interest rate, so that you can drill the results down to what you need.
Tool # 984: Work Daily BSA/CTR Activity and Tool # 633: Print BSA/SAR Activity Report provide a comprehensive and detailed analysis of cash transactions, which can help to identify signs of structuring or other suspicious activity.
Tool # 985: Work Dormant Members and Tool # 347: Dormant Members Master Listing can both be used to monitor and maintain the dormancy records for dormant memberships.

Tool # 1190: Employee Security Profile Analysis shows summary statistics and graphs of key employee security settings for all of your credit union’s active and archived employee IDs.
Resources for Creating On-Demand Reports & Queries
If you cannot find what you are looking for in one of CUBASE's pre-built Reports or Dashboards, Tool # 100: CU*BASE Report Builder (Query) can be used to create, modify, or run custom reports and inquiries. The following resources are available to assist you with using this tool to create custom reports:

In addition to these resources, Tool # 332: Database Search Assistant can be used to search for specific tables (files) and columns (fields) from among your CU*BASE member and other data. It is designed as a companion to the CU*BASE Report Builder product, to help you locate where the data that you need to analyze can be found.
